The Ministry of Defence is moving forward to remove Andrew Mountbatten Windsor last honorary military rank following the direction of the Monarch, the defence secretary has announced.
The defense secretary stated King Charles had "indicated that's what he wishes".
The Duke, who was lost his princely title on Thursday, kept his rank as a Vice Admiral in the UK naval forces after surrendering his other military positions in 2022.
"This is the correct course of action, the King has directed us to implement this measure and this is being handled presently," Healey stated to a television interview.
