Two Victims Revealed in the Ivy League School Shooting as Police Continue Hunt for Gunman.

Two students who lost their lives in the weekend's tragic incident in Providence were honored at the start of the week – amid a widespread hunt for their killer continued following the discharge by authorities in Rhode Island of the only individual detained in connection in the case.

Remembering Ella Cook

The student Ella Cook, a second-year scholar from Alabama, was described as “a wonderful, steady, devout, shining presence”, as stated by the Cathedral Church of the Advent, Birmingham, which honored her memory at a service on Sunday.

Her role included the vice-presidency of Brown’s division of College Republicans of America, as the club stated. Karoline Leavitt also expressed condolences on social media, remarking: “Words cannot express. Remembering her loved ones and companions, especially her parents.”

The Second Victim

The other person killed was MukhammadAziz Umurzokov, an Uzbek national in his first year of studies at the renowned school, family members said.

The victim's identification was confirmed by Uzbekistan’s foreign ministry.

“He possessed remarkable kindness, humor, and intelligence. He harbored grand aspirations of pursuing a career in neurosurgery and aiding others,” Samira Umurzokova, his sister said in a tribute.

Details of the Attack

Nine other people were injured in the violent event in the school of engineering of Brown’s campus in Providence, during the university's examination week.

Law enforcement reported by the end of Sunday that a 24-year-old male taken into custody in a raid at a Hampton Inn about 17 miles from the campus earlier in the day was set to be freed.

“We have a murderer out there,” stated Peter Neronha, Peter Neronha.

Neronha explained, “Sometimes you head in one direction, and then you have to regroup and head another way, and that is the current situation over the last approximately one day.”

Community Anxiety

The city's mayor, Brett Smiley, admitted: “We know that this is likely to cause renewed concern for our public”.

The shooter discharged a weapon inside a classroom in the engineering facility on Saturday afternoon, firing more than 40 rounds from a 9mm handgun, a authority told the Associated Press.

Law enforcement that raided the hotel found two handguns and magazines when the person of interest was taken into custody, according to reports.

Condition of the Injured

Among those wounded, one student was discharged from care, mentioned the university president, Christina Paxson. Seven others were in critical but stable condition, and one remained in critical care, authorities stated on Sunday.
