Between the Sticks
Guglielmo Vicario (Tottenham): Even though finishing on the losing side against Chelsea, his teammates left him exposed. He faced 18 shots, nine on target, with an expected goals of 3.36 for the opposition yet he kept them in it. He never gave up on his team.
Defenders
Nico O'Reilly (City): The talented teen is exceptional. Usually a central midfielder, he slots in brilliantly at left-back. His display in the victory over Bournemouth stood out, marking him as a rising talent.
Gabriel (the Gunners): A persistent threat, he helped secure a further shutout for Arsenal. He is a handful from set-pieces, just being there made the difference in the triumph at Burnley. Rival teams are intimidated by him.
Jean-Clair Todibo (the Hammers): Selected for two reasons: West Ham's win and his composed, confident display. Although Newcastle were not at their best, he stood out on the ball and settled the play. After some shaky displays, he appears to have improved under manager Nuno Espirito Santo.
Ryan Sessegnon (Fulham): He sparked the team in the win over Wolves. Outstanding in attack and consistent all season, he's found the net to his game. Great to see him fit and performing.
Engine Room
Moises Caicedo (Chelsea): The only engine everyone agrees on. Crucial for Chelsea, he stood as the top tackler. Like the Duracell Bunny, he drives everyone forward. Perhaps the finest defensive mid in the game.
Declan Rice (Arsenal): Another key performance against Burnley. An absolute beast, he netted and excels from dead balls. As they face lesser teams, he recovers stamina and makes more attacking runs. Crucial to see him let loose.
Ryan Gravenberch (Liverpool): He pushed forward, getting a goal against a poor Villa team. His ability to control the game on and off the ball, plus his awareness and challenges, made him essential to the victory.
Forwards
Diego Gomez (the Seagulls): He scored a brace versus United, and he was elegant gliding past opponents. Moving quickly and strongly, he edged out teammate Danny Welbeck on the day.
Erling Haaland (City): What more is there to say about the machine? Each occasion he got through, you expected a score. He didn't appear like missing. The King is back. Despite summer talk about other strikers, Haaland dominates. He might shatter goal tallies this season.
Rayan Cherki (City): Playing high on the right is his ideal role. Remarkably two-footed, uncommon like Santi Cazorla. He can take free-kicks with both feet. A gifted player, he appears sharp post-recovery. His connection with Haaland is evidently a key reason for his acquisition.
Gaffer
Nuno Espirito Santo (the Hammers): If you missed it, check out his celebration their third against the Magpies. That shows what it means to him and the team. He's aware West Ham face challenges, yet they need to get through and secure results.
